Introduction

This privacy policy describes how SessionSnap, a Chrome extension developed by DavSoft, collects, uses, and protects your information. SessionSnap is a tab session manager that helps you save and restore browser tab sessions locally within your browser.

What Data We Collect

SessionSnap collects and processes the following data to provide its session management functionality:

• Tab Information: URLs, page titles, and tab positions of your open browser tabs
• Session Data: Collections of saved tab groups with custom names and timestamps
• Window State: Window dimensions and positions (if saved)
• User Settings: Your preferences for auto-save, session naming, and restoration behavior

We do not collect any personally identifiable information beyond the URLs you choose to save in sessions, and we do not collect usage analytics.

How Data Is Stored

All data collected by SessionSnap is stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage API (chrome.storage). Your saved sessions never leave your browser and are not transmitted to any external servers operated by DavSoft or any third parties.

Data is stored within your Chrome browser's local storage, which is synchronized across your devices only if you have Chrome Sync enabled in your Google account settings. This synchronization is managed entirely by Google, not by DavSoft.

What Data We Share

We do not share any of your data with third parties. Since all data is stored locally within your browser, DavSoft has no access to your saved sessions, tab information, or any other information generated by the extension.

Third-Party Services

SessionSnap operates entirely offline and does not integrate with any third-party services for its core functionality.

If you choose to upgrade to a premium version of SessionSnap (if available), payment processing is handled by Stripe, a third-party payment processor. In such cases, your payment information is collected and processed directly by Stripe according to their privacy policy. DavSoft does not have access to your complete payment card information.

Data Security

Because all data is stored locally within your Chrome browser using secure browser APIs, your data security depends on:

• The security of your device and user account
• Chrome's built-in security mechanisms for extension data storage
• Your Google account security (if using Chrome Sync)

We recommend keeping your browser and operating system updated, using strong passwords, and enabling two-factor authentication on your Google account for maximum security.

Children's Privacy

SessionSnap is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through this extension, please contact us at support@davsoft.ai.
